alright... don't laugh. here is a list of songs i have just listened to.
for the lack of a better title, i call this page my top songs.
some (most) of these songs are old songs.
that's because my collection (about 500 tapes and several cds) is kinda stuck in the 80s.
now, starting the year 2000, i am back, collecting tapes, cds and mp3s.
this page is started on 13 july 2000. anyway, enjoy.

last update: 30 June 2005
- Lazarus - Porcupine Tree
This is a mellow ballad done by a great progressive rock band.
- Roxann
- Jay Graydon
I've been looking for Jay Graydon's music for a while.
Finally, I found "airplay for the planet". Good stuff.
- After the love is gone - Jay Graydon
I like this version, the original version!
- Rock and Roll Band - Boston
This is an old song, but I always love Boston's rock sound.
I even tried playing guitar with Scholz's Rockman box.
(Here's another homepage of Boston)
- Don't Hurt Yourself - Marillion
Now, I can really enjoy Hogarth
- Dry Land - Marillion
I made peace with the new Marillion (smile).
I used to think that Marillion without Fish is just not Marillion.
I was wrong. I like this piece.
- Jadikan aku raja - Ada Band.
This is a new Indonesian pop band. They've got great songs, such as
"Masih" and "Manja". Go search the Internet for their lyrics and perhaps MP3?
Buy their tapes and CDs!
- La La La (Means I Love You) - Swing Out Sisters.
For some reasons I am really into Swing Out Sisters' songs!
Just found a bunch of them on the Internet. (Will look at their CDs at stores.)
- All of the above - Transatlantic.
This is a band (project?) of various people from
famous progressive rock band (Dream Theater, Marillion, The Flower Kings, Spock's Beard).
I guess I am a fan of Roine Stolt (guitar player of The Flower Kings).
- Breakout - Swing Out Sisters.
This is an old song, but just found it again.

Well, actually I was looking for
Swing Out Sisters song and found their version of this song. Then I search
the Internet and found Grover Washington Jr.'s version is better.
- The Merrygoround - The Flower Kings
[lyrics].
This song just rocks (as in "progressive rock" rock!). I need
more flower kings CDs!
- Unbelieveable - Def Leppard
Def Leppard has been my fav band. Well, actually since early 90s when I wrote
my thesis and needed music in the background.

What can I say. His music is simple and romatic.
- The Wall - Kansas
[lyrics]
- Close To You (take 1)
and (take 3/not uploaded yet) - Budi Rahardjo.
[This is actually my own song. I wrote it just to play with a bunch of
keyboards in computer music lab. Take 1 was based on
Kurzweil dan Yamaha DX7 keyboards and Yamaha drum machine.
Dedicated to my wife. Recorded 1988 (I think). I was thinking of
Bob James' songs when I played the tune. I would love to have
him play it. Let me know if you like it.]

from their older album, but I still love it!]
